IBM i, covid19, ithusiasm, programming

So, a chum of mine on social media just posted this link for the first public presentation from his IBM i Startup called iThusiasm. Looks interesting and I’ve signed up. Why not dive right in?

Me. Feeling ithusiastic. 😉

What and Who is iThusiasm?

Ithusiasm

iThusiasm is proudly presenting our inaugural meeting for IBM I professionals! We will start with a hangout interactive discussion featuring panelists Mary Lange, Karl Haggart, and Michael Delk on the impact of Covid. Then Pete Massiello will deliver his “A Programmers future: Looking back to see the future” session!

This session looks back at the history of programming and computing. We examine the skill sets that programmers & IT Professional required in the past, examine the skills of those IT Professionals entering the market, and what is required today to compete in the future. If you don’t invest in yourself, your skills don’t remain static, they actually slowly deteriorate compared to the market.

We are taking a light hearted look at what we need to do with our careers to compete and excel in today’s market.

We are looking forward to seeing you and starting our new group!

Michael Delk
