WordPress Gutenberg, you can bugger right off!

The new WordPress editor GUTENBERG is a bit smelly.

I've been playing with the GUTENBERG Beta for a while now. A few months ago, I heard about the new editor which was coming to WordPress so decided to give it a go – Sadly, I try it for about ten minutes, decide I don't like it and revert to the standard WordPress Editor, make a contented sigh of relief and get on with typing my usual waffle and piffle.

Wordpress gutenberg, you can bugger right off! 1

This process is repeated every coupe of weeks.

AUTOMATIC UPDATE – *BOOM* GUTENBERG IS NOW DEFAULT

This morning I had an update and now Gutenberg is the default. It has a couple of cool features (I quite like the image block insertion for example) but overall I still don't like it. I hate the weird popups that happen when I select blocks of text to simply cut/paste them elsewhere in my text. I want to control the UI for my own blog and don't what that choice forced on me the choice gods damnit! That's my moan for the day.

Having said that – I'm going to stick with it and see if it can change my mind. #endofwaffle
