Download the installation kit, agent.installer.platform _version.zip
Once this hefty ZIP file downloads to your PC, unzip and we need to upload this entire folder to our IBM i System.
In my example I uploaded it to my home folder and called it /home/ibm-installation-manager
Now it's time to go and make a nice cup of tea while it all uploads:
Upload completed - now we can proceed to install
Start the Qshell command environment.
In the Qshell command environment, set umask to 022.
set umask 022
Change to the folder that you just uploaded the installer to:
cd /home/ibm-installation-manager
Now lets run the silent installer from the QSHELL command line:
installc -log log_file -acceptLicense
Now... sit back for a minute and wait for the INSTALL COMPLETED message
And thats it!!!!
