Who and what is PUB400?

Don't be fooled by it’s old-fashioned sounding name. This is not the AS/400 of your grandparents.

PUB400 has been serving the IBM i community for almost fifteen years. They report serving more than seventy thousands users around the world. I think it’s a great learning environment, to play with the most advanced business hardware The IBM Power System running operating system “IBM i” — this machine's forebears were the AS400 (running OS400) and iSeries (running i5/OS).

I’m biased, but I definitely think IBM i is the best integrative platform for managing and running business oriented workloads. IBM i happily runs old AS400 applications from pre-internet days, plus tons of other legacy software alongside modern open source techniques.
